Agent Bio:
Tiffany J. Hanks
Philosophy
My goal as a real estate agent is to provide you with excellent service
and knowledge to make your transition as smooth as possible. I recognize
that it can be stressful to purchase or sell your home. My purpose is
to determine your goals and then to help you reach them. Please contact
me for a no obligation consultation. We can sit down and determine your
needs and goals, then work together to acheive them.
Education
I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Visual Arts. During that time I also studied the Spanish language, industrial design, and linguistics. While I attended BYU I took the opportunity to participate in a NOLS Alaska Mountaineering course for a month and was able to live on an Alaskan Glacier with other NOLS students, learning the basics of mountaineering. After graduating BYU I pursued a Masters of Education degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. I really enjoyed this program but was unable to complete the degree because my husband and I decided to move to Spokane. I am currently pursuing an MBA from Gonzaga University with an emphasis in Accounting.
Work Experience
I have worked in the outdoor industry most of my life. I grew up teaching
swimming lessons in my backyard. After moving to Utah
to attend college I
worked at Deer Valley Ski Resort as a children's ski
instructor. During that same time I also worked as
an office manager at a local Hang Gliding
and Paragliding shop. (Utah, by the way, is an excellent
place to learn these sports. The Point of the Mountain
has some of the best wind and
terrain for teaching in the country.) After learning
to Hang Glide and Paraglide and working in that industry
for a few years I decided to try
something new. I accepted a position at Wasatch Powderbird
Guides, a helicopter skiing operation based out of
Snowbird, Utah. There I eventually
became the office manager, client accounts manager,
website designer, graphic designer, and merchandise
coordinator. It was an excellent experience
in learning how to organize a small business. When
my husband and I moved to Spokane I stayed on with
Wasatch Powderbird Guides overseeing their client accounts.
With the encouragement of many of the guides, who are
also real estate agents, I decided to join Windermere
and work in the real estate field.
Other Info
Aside from being active
in biking, skiing, and running, I enjoy throwing pottery,
painting, reading and working in my yard.
The highlight of my day is being able to play with
my son. As you can see he is a very funny and cute
little boy. Some friends and I also organized a small
preschool and so I actively teach and organize activities
there. If you live in South Spokane you will most
likely see me pushing my jogging stroller with two
large husky mixes harnessed to my waist. My husband,
Kenji, attends Gonzaga University's School of Law.
Give me a call if you have any questions. I would be happy to help you!
